Clyde Valley Flyers - Membership
Applications
Thank you for your interest in joining Clyde Valley
Flyers, you will find that the benefits of membership present extremely
good value for money.
The cost of adult membership is currently £35 per
annum, in addition to this you will also need SAA insurance which
is currently £26 per year and all new memberships are also subject
to an additional one off joining fee of £15. Therefore full membership
will cost a total of £76 for the first year, and £61 per year thereafter
(at current rates).
Junior membership (16 and under) has different rules
and rates, so you should contact the treasurer for further details
including the price and when it will be due.
Membership will entitle you to unlimited access to
our flying site between the hours of dawn to dusk, with the exception
of a few 'No Flying Times' published in the Clyde
Valley Flyers forum. You will also be entitled to free tuition
if you are a student pilot until you successfully complete the
SAA Bronze Safety Schedule after which you will be able to fly
solo from our facility. The other members of the club will be more
than happy to assist you with any problems you may have with building,
repairing, maintaining or flying your aircraft at any stage of
piloting ability.
Our
flying field has a club hut with canteen facilities so you can
warm up with a hot drink and a chat, drinks (and occasionally hot
food) are very reasonably priced to cover the cost. We also have
use of toilet facilities but unfortunately they are closed during
the winter months to prevent freezing damage.
The club also arranges various other events such
as holidays to The
RC Hotel in Corfu, and the upcoming Club Bean feast
at the Lynnhurst Hotel, which are open to all members of Clyde
Valley Flyers.

this Application
Pack which contains a copy of the club constitution,
bylaws and an application form (in ZIP format, non XP operating
